What are the benefits of the Garnet and Gold Scholar Society?

  • Learn about opportunities to be involved on campus.

  • Receive special designation on your official university transcript.

Is this a certificate or scholarship program?

The Garnet and Gold Scholar Society is not a certificate program and does not provide any financial scholarships. Individual scholarship opportunities may be offered for specific Engagement Area experiences. Please contact each area individually.

Can graduate students participate?

At this point the program is solely developed to recognize undergraduate students for their engagement efforts at Florida State University. However the Graduate School has developed professional development programs to recognize you for your efforts as a graduate student with the Preparing Future Faculty and Preparing Future Professionals Programs. If you have any additional questions about these programs please contact the Graduate School.

Can transfer students participate?

Yes, undergraduate transfer students may participate in this program as long as they meet the specified criteria outlined in the program overview .
